Roofers In Hailsham
A tile down on the lawn after a windy night, a ridge you can watch rocking from the garden, or a stain creeping across your bedroom ceiling. What you want to know is how bad it is and what it is going to cost you.
Ring us and we will get up on your roof and tell you exactly what has gone: the tile, the mortar, the nails, or nothing worth worrying about. It costs you nothing to find out, and you are under no obligation afterwards.

Roof Repairs And Re-Roofs In Hailsham
It starts with one tile out of place. Another goes in the next gale, the ridge lifts at one end, and you are left standing in the garden wondering whether you are looking at a morning's work or a whole new roof.
That is ours to work out, not yours. We come out, get up on your roof and look at the tiles, the ridge and verge mortar, the nails and the clips, and we tell you which of them has actually gone. Then you get a price for putting that right, and for nothing you do not need.
The free roof check costs you nothing, there is no obligation on you afterwards, and a repair stays a repair. If two tiles and a clip will see you right, that is what we will quote you for. Ring 01323 33 55 33.

What you get from us
What You Get When We Come Out
You Find Out Before You Spend Anything
We go up and look at your roof properly, then tell you what has failed, what has not, and what it will cost. You get all of that for free, and what happens next is your call.
You Pay For The Fault, Not The Roof
On your roof it is usually the mortar, the nail or the clip that has gone rather than the tile itself. We re-bed your ridge or fix it mechanically, and you keep the roof you already have.
Your Roof Still Looks Like Your Roof
Your interlocking tile goes back as interlocking tile and your plain tile as plain tile, so you are not left with a patch the whole road can pick out. Two tiles is worth ringing us about, and we would rather sort it now than after the winter.
The Roofing We Take On In Hailsham
Tiles, ridges, chimneys and the rest of what we put right for you:
- Roof repairs - your slipped and cracked tiles fixed back mechanically, so you are not out on the lawn picking up another one next month.
- Ridge and verge - cracked, lifted mortar re-bedded or dry-fixed, so your ridge tiles are held by more than their own weight and you stop listening to them in the wind.
- Full re-roofs - stripped, re-battened, new membrane and a tile that sits with the rest of your row, for one figure you agree before anything comes off.
- Flat roofing - the tired felt over your garage or back extension stripped off and re-covered, so you stop getting a wet patch in the room underneath.
- Chimney repairs - a stack that has gone soft taken back and rebuilt where it needs it, with fresh lead worked in, so you stop watching mortar land on your drive.
- Guttering, fascias and soffits - the overflow down your front wall stopped at source, and the soft fascia behind it replaced while we are up there.
Repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs, lead, chimneys and roofline - across Hailsham, Eastbourne, Polegate, Willingdon and Pevensey.

Common questions
Questions We Get From Hailsham
Both. We work across Hailsham as well as Eastbourne, Polegate, Willingdon and Pevensey, and the same free roof check applies wherever the house is.
Not on its own. Houses put up in the same year reach the same point at around the same time, so a run of genuine roof work in one road is not unusual. It is also not a diagnosis of yours. A roof check will tell you whether you are looking at a few tiles and some ridge mortar or the whole covering, and a fair number come back as the former.
It depends what the job is. A couple of tiles within reach of a ladder does not need it. A re-roof does, and so does most work at a chimney, because there is no safe way to do it otherwise. Which applies to your roof is settled at the roof check, not on the morning.
With the flat roof above it. On most rear extensions that is felt, and felt goes hard, cracks at the upstands, and lets water stand where it has stopped draining to the outlet. A single failed joint is a repair; felt that has split in several places is a new covering in EPDM, GRP or fresh felt. The roof check tells you which, and it costs nothing.
Usually it means the roof is on its second or third life, with rounds of repair on top of each other and sometimes more than one covering up there at once. The first job is working out what has already been done and what is actually keeping the water out, and only then deciding what should happen next.
Rarely the tiles. Concrete interlocking tile from that period is usually still sound. What gives out is the mortar bedding the ridge and verge tiles, the felt where it has perished at the eaves, and the fixings, so odd tiles start to slip in a wind. All of those are repairs rather than a new roof, and none of them can be seen from the ground.
